New Children’s Ministry Curricula

At our Members’ Meeting in May, Pastor Jeremy shared about the new Children’s Ministry curriculum. Here, he shares more about what our children will be learning.

Over the past few months the Children’s Ministry Team has been exploring how we can further enrich the teaching of God's word during Sunday School.

The Gospel Project curriculum, which the ministry has been using for the past few years, has been very helpful in giving our children a good foundation of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and seeing how the whole Bible points to Jesus Christ. We believe that it is also important to teach key doctrines and practical theology like God’s attributes, what it means to follow Jesus, and God's good design for boys and girls. Our vision is for our children to become disciples of Christ who trust Him for salvation and bear fruit for God’s glory.

New curriculum beginning 2026

To achieve this vision, the team has put in much thought in reviewing the resources available and have decided to introduce new curricula. Our 0–8 years old children will continue to learn the narrative of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The 9–12 years old children will learn key doctrines and practical theology.

Beginning 2026, our 0-8 years old children will be adopting the Generations of Grace curriculum. This is a three-year chronological study of the Bible that highlights our need for redemption and how the Bible points to Jesus Christ.

Our 9-12 years old children will be using the Truth 78 curriculum that will teach them God’s attributes, God’s will, how to pray, discipleship and God's good design.

Interim curriculum from June to Dec 2025

In June 2025, we will finish up the Gospel Project curriculum. Before transitioning to the new plan shown above, we will be using the Truth 78 curriculum titled “Faithful to All His Promises” (FAHP) for all ages.

The promises of God keep us from sinking. They are precious, and they are powerful because behind these promises is the all-powerful, all-knowing, faithful, patient, gracious, unchanging, sovereign ruler of the universe. Our prayer is that when children find themselves experiencing troubles, they will turn to the promises of God.

If you have questions about the curricula, feel free to speak with me on Sundays or write to me (jeremy@gracebaptistchurch.sg).

Ways to pray

Church, we appreciate your prayers and support as we transition to this new teaching plan. Pray for the teachers as they familiarise themselves with the new curriculum and pray that God will also work in their hearts as they meditate on these truths before teaching our children.

Pray also for the parents in our midst, that the Lord will strengthen and enable them to shepherd their children. May our children know and love our God and trust in His Son for salvation.

Pray also for our children, that God will soften their hearts to hear His word and cause them to turn to Him and trust in Him for their salvation. Pray that God will cause His word taught to bear fruit in their lives.

The Children’s Ministry also is also always recruiting more volunteers to help with teaching, assisting with the classes, nursery, check-in table on Sundays. If you would like to find out more, feel free to speak with me (jeremy@gracebaptistchurch.sg) or the team (kidsmin@gracebaptistchurch.sg).
