Church Picnic (10 August 2026)
We spent some time together as a church family over the National Day long weekend!
It has been a while since we held a church picnic and we held one over the recent National Day long weekend. Many from GBC came and spent the morning together on a public holiday. Some members also invited their friends and family members to come along for the picnic.
As always, people showed great and generous hospitality by bringing food for themselves and to share with others. People shared their homemade sandwiches, baked goods, ice-cream, fruits, water and a member even made pancakes on the spot! Conversations flowed among the adults while the children were free to play and roam the grounds nearby. God also provided good weather that morning that allowed us to gather comfortably.
We hope that these picnics can serve as opportunities for church members — families, marrieds, singles, young, old, long-time members, newer members — to meet others outside of the Sunday gathering. Sundays are often busy days and these gatherings can provide a more comfortable and casual setting to get to know one another. There is no fixed and formal programme at the picnic, and church members are free to bring their own games and play sports.
Watch this space for the next church-wide gathering and we hope to see you at the next one!
