Elder Associates 2025

At our 13 July Members’ Meeting, the elders introduced three men who are joining the elders as Elder Associates. Over the next nine to ten months as Elder Associates, they will learn about what it means to shepherd and be an elder. This will take the form of reading, shadowing and observing the elders e.g. joining the fortnightly meetings. The goal is to get to know the church and for the church to get to know them too.

In this process, both the elders and these individuals can also discern their calling to be elders of the church. If both the individual and the elders discern a calling, and see that the individual fulfills the biblical qualifications of being an elder, only then will he be presented to the church to be voted on as an elder.

In 2025, Cory, Kang Wei and Jimmy will be the Elder Associates. Find out more about the ways these men have already been serving, and how we can keep them and their family in prayer. If you see them around on Sundays and at other church gatherings, say hi and get to know them too!
