On 25 July, we had the joy of hosting over 100 women from 17 different churches for a Women’s Conference on Sanctification.

The Young Adults’ (YA) ministry recently held a panel on How to Thrive in University. The goal was to help our young adults think about how they can thrive spiritually, socially, and intellectually as they spend these formative years. 

One important aspect of our life together is time spent around and in God’s word together. Jasmine Too shares about a group of ladies that have been meeting on Friday mornings.

You may have noticed some FIT members at the carpark on the way to church! This is a new initiative to help welcome worshippers on Sunday mornings. Khee Peng, one of our members, shares about his experience serving in this way.

We have 3 trainees joining us for the Ministry Traineeship programme in 2026. 2 of them are our members, and 1 is a member of Acts Baptist Church.

We welcome Nicholas Chuan, our new Ministry Worker for Young Adults’.

As we think about how healthy churches multiply, we are also encouraged that different members have started new Care Groups.

We are a week away from the Women’s Conference!

The Wednesday Bible Study (WBS) is a midweek Bible Study and this year, they spent some months reading Proverbs 1-9 together. Thia Zhang Jie joined them recently, and shares what he learnt from reading Proverbs.

Recently, our Women’s Ministry Workers, Carrie and Bibianna, had the chance to visit International Church at Mont Kiara (ICMK) in Kuala Lumpur to speak at their women’s event. Bibianna shares about their experience and what was encouraging about this trip. 

We held our Women’s Ministry Open House on 26 April 2026. The goal of this Open House was for the church — men and women alike — to learn more about ministry that has been going on among the women of GBC.

Fiona Teong has been reading the book Treasuring Christ When Your hands Are Full with the Mums Connect group. She shares a short encouragement and lessons she has learnt from reading this together with the ladies.

The work of welcoming at GBC is not done by the Welcome Ministry alone but is a church-wide effort involving various teams as well as the congregation as a whole, i.e. you and me. We share what it looks like and how we can all play a part!

We have a group of Filipina domestic helpers who worship with us every Sunday and we give thanks for members such as Pat Chan who reaches out to them knowing that it can be daunting for them to connect with the wider church community. Here, we share more about the Filipina Fellowship that she has been serving with since 1986!

Our Mums Connect group has been reading “Treasuring Christ when your hands are full”. Audrey Lim has been part of this group, and she reflects on how she has been helped by this book in her own journey in motherhood.

As we study the book of Ephesians, we are challenged to actively participate in the building up of the church. But how? A useful resource in this endeavour could be compiled through our earlier sermons in the book of Haggai.

For a couple of years now, a group of GBC members have been reaching out to the residents and staff at Gladiolus Place through a monthly dinner. Moreen Tai has been helping out, and shares with us what they have been doing, and how God has been working in the hearts of our members, as well as ways we can support the ministry in prayer.

We recently held a parents’ engagement for those with children under the age of 18. Pastor Jeremy reminded parents of the special responsibility God has given them and exhorted parents to prioritize the discipleship of their children.

Maureen Koh was one of the helpers at our recent youth camp. It was her first time serving, and also the first time at a youth camp. She shares her experience as a helper, what she learnt from serving and ways the church can continue to trust God to work among our youth.

Ng Han Kiat from Leng Kwang Baptist Church took part in our Traineeship Programme from July to November this year. He gives thanks for the traineeship and reflects on how it has been a sanctifying process for him.
