Our Role in Building the Church
Our sermons in Haggai have encouraged us to participate in the building up of the church. As we heard in the sermon on Haggai 1, “Therefore, Jesus calls us to go and make disciples of all nations. And, just as the LORD promised to be present with His people in Haggai’s day, so the Lord Jesus promises to be with us even to the end of the age. Jesus is with us by His Spirit, whom He has poured out on the church. We have been entrusted with the work of gathering other living stones to build God’s house.”
How can we do so, you might ask? We have compiled a list from the sermons and more, which we hope will give you a start!

Bear one another’s burdens.
Text a church member in the week to check in on them and share prayer needs and thanksgiving.

Write about church life to share with the community about the ways God is at work. Write to comms@gracebaptistchurch.sg if you are keen to help out!
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Celebrate at weddings and new births. Be there for members at funerals. Visit members who are in the hospital, where possible.
This list is not exhaustive, and we hope that it has prompted you to think about how you can help build up the church. Who are the people that God has placed in your life that you can build up and encourage? What is a need that you can meet?
