Recap of Members' Meeting (10 May 2026)
We held our Members’ Meeting on 10 May 2026. The church gathered on level 2 with their snacks and coffee/tea and Elder Toshi opened the meeting with prayer.
Membership Matters
Members coming in
Pastor Jeremy led us through the first agenda item and introduced those seeking to join GBC as members. He invited up the elders who did their elder chat to introduce them by sharing their conversion and subsequent growth in the faith. Their testimonies had already been sent to members prior to this meeting and members could also ask any questions at this meeting before the church affirmed each candidate by a show of hands.
At this Meeting, we welcomed 8 by transfer and 3 by baptism. We welcomed by transfer: Adam Wong, Christine Cheong, Terence Cheng, Nelia Soon, Louise Lam, Timothy Ng, Dorcas Ng, and Kevin Loke. We also welcomed the following members pending their baptism – Andrea Mok, Hanssen Ng and Pinky Fadullon-Dizon.
Pastor Jeremy also led all the members to recite the Members’ Covenant as a reminder of our commitment to one another as members of this local church.
We thank God for these new members and pray that as a church, we will let us continue to get to know and pray for one another. Members transferring out
Pastor Jeremy shared about those who are requesting a transfer to other churches. Some of them had also written a short note to be shared, and Pastor Jeremy read their notes out. Members were given the chance to ask questions, before affirming their transfers. As our Members’ Covenant states, “We will, when we move from this place, join another Gospel-preaching church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.” We are encouraged that they have found another gospel-preaching church to be a part of to love and serve. We can pray that they will continue to grow in the local body where God has led them to be.
Missions
Next, Pastor Ryan came up to share an update about one of our missionaries. These updates given at Members’ Meetings and Prayer Meetings help us to know how our missionaries are doing, keep them in prayer and also prompt us to reach out to them if we know them. However, due to the sensitive nature of some of their work, we will not be including the update in this summary.
Ministry Plans
Growing in the word
Pastor Eugene then shared some ministry plans. We are finishing our series in Ephesians in May. Following that, Pastor Ryan will preach a short, 3-week topical series on church planting called “Multiply”. Following that, the pastors will be preaching through Revelation 1-3 in a sermon series titled, “Listen to the Lord”.
As a church, we will also be hosting a number of conferences this year:
Spurgeon and the Church (23 May)
Women’s Conference on Sanctification (25 July, 9 to 3.30pm).
We also plan to organise the Weekender from 10 to 13 September. For this, we are looking for volunteers in various areas:
Hosting the participants by providing accommodation for 4 nights
Helping at the Weekender by providing snacks or logistics
Chaperoning them on their free afternoon
In addition to these, we also have a special request to host 2 pastors from Cambodia who would like to spend an extended time with us before the Weekender, from 21 August to 14 September. Growing People
As part of our efforts to continue to train and equip our people, Pastor Eugene shared about this upcoming training series by the Women’s Ministry. There will be an 8-week, weekly training series based on the book “How People Change” in August and September. These sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 7.30-9pm. Ladies who are interested can sign up here.

Church Camp 2027
The dates for Church Camp 2027 is out! Lord willing, we will hold the camp from 9 to 12 June 2027, at Amerald Resort Hotel in Desaru, Malaysia. We encourage all members to save the date, and prayerfully consider attending this together.
Closing Prayer
Elder Toshi brought the meeting to a close by thanking God for the ways He is at work in our church and praying for all our plans. We pray that God will continue to build up His church through the ways that we seek to obey Him and love and serve one another.
