At GBC, we have Care Groups (CGs) that meet regularly in the week to not only study God's Word together, but also seek to care for one another by helping each other obey His Word.

At the recent women's ministry "Growing in the Gospel" event, Megan, one of our members taught from 2 Peter 1:3-10 at a workshop. She encouraged the women to remember God's saving work and strive to live in a manner worthy of the calling they have received.

At the recent women's ministry "Growing in the Gospel" event, Melissa, one of our members who also recently completed her traineeship, gave a devotion from Titus 2. She walked the women through God's Word and encouraged all present to read and obey His Word.

Clarice reflects on her first trip to Kathy's Home in Pua in Northern Thailand, where GBC conducts an English camp every quarter for the Hmong and Mien children staying at the home. 

As we end the year, some of our ministries are planning for the next year and are looking for volunteers. If you are available and keen, we encourage you to contact the ministry, and see how you can build up the church in these practical ways!

On 20 and 21 October, we hosted two conferences with Mark Dever, pastor of Capital Hill Baptist Church and from 9Marks ministry. The first conference was targeted at leaders ("Building Healthy Churches"). The other, which was jointly organised with Adam Road Presbyterian Church (ARPC) was for church members ("The Local Church"). 

One of our members, Ryan, attended both conferences, and shares with us his experience and reflections here. 

As 2023 draws to a close, we're also holding another picnic on 13 November 2023.

The Ministry Traineeship, formerly known as the Ministry Internship, runs from July to November this year. For this cycle, we have four trainees joining us -- Melissa Fam, Roy Lam and Joshua Shoo.

Deacon Bryan Tan led us in a exemplary prayer of confession in our worship service on 22 Oct. He modelled it on Jesus' teachings about the Beautitudes from Matthew 5:3-10.

Chng Eng Ching give thanks for how God has given her a bird's eye view of doing mission work through His lenses as she reflects on her first mission trip with GBC to Cambodia.

This year, we hope to invite our neighbours at MacPherson to celebrate Christmas with us at a brunch on 16 December from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm.

Our worship team recently introduced this new song, "Bless the Lord, O My Soul (Psalm 103)", by Sovereign Grace Music. Based on Psalm 103, this song walks us through the many reasons that believers have to bless the Lord with our entire beings and soul.

From 14–18 September, a team of 10 conducted an English camp at Kathy’s Home in Pua. Read how the camp went and sign up for the next trip from 16–20 November 23!  

We are excited to be hosting two conferences with Mark Dever on 20 and 21 October. Mark Dever is the Senior Pastor of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, and also serves as the President of 9Marks ministries.

Pastor Mark will be conducting an EQUIP series on The Art of Parenting over six Sundays from September to November 2023.

At our recent Prayer Meetings, different members have been sharing about ministry opportunities as well as needs that have arisen.

At our recent Quarterly Congregational Meeting (QCM) held on 2 July 2023, our pastors and elders shared some updates pertaining to staffing matters.

Every quarter (except during the pandemic), GBC sends a team to Kathy's Home in Pua in northern Thailand to conduct an English camp for the Hmong and Mien children staying at the home. This is the 18th year that we have been partnering Kathy's Home in the Lord's work and we thank God for such a great privilege!
