Recommended Books from Training Day
At our recent Training Day, we had 5 different tracks covering various topics in the life of a Christian. If you would like to read up more about these topics, here are some recommendations! Some books are also available at our book table, whilst stocks last.
The Hard Stuff
In Ephesians, we have been learning about how God has brought us together in Christ. Cecilia Kang shares how she experienced the love of the church and learnt to see how God has designed for the church to be a family.
Trained for Ministry
Mercia Tan joined our traineeship after graduating from university this past July. It has been a fruitful and encouraging time for her, and she shares some of her takeaways from the past few months.
Women of Grace 2025: Side by Side
On 1 November, the Women’s Ministry held their Women of Grace event. Usually held once to twice a year, the Women of Grace event aims to bring together women of GBC for a time of equipping and mutual encouragement.
This year, the theme was “Side by Side” and we invited a guest speaker, Elizabeth Baruah, to speak to the ladies.
Member Care Begins with Me
Pastor Thian Chye shares his heart for the church — that we can love and care for each other as members of this body. There are also many simple and small steps that we can all take to do so!
Art Fellowship Outreach
From April to September, this Art Fellowship Outreach took place on Thursday afternoons. Two 8-week series were conducted, and Yuh Jane, who organised and participated, shares with us about what they did, and how it also encouraged members to love each other, and reach out to non-believers.
Women in the Word
Bibianna shares about the encouraging ways God has been building the women of GBC by growing their confidence in, love for and obedience to His word.
Practising Perseverance
Pastor Eugene encourages us to listen to James to learn how we can press on through our trials.
Community and the Coronavirus
Pastor Oliver expresses his heartache on not being able to gather as a church and shares how we can continue to encourage, strengthen and love one another during this period.
