Evangelism during Christmas
In the Christmas and New Year period, many will be busy with gatherings and meet-ups. As a church, we hope to equip and provide opportunities for members to share the gospel with those around them.
Recap of Members' Meeting (10 November 2024)
We held our Members’ Meeting on 10 November 2024, the agenda was rather full. We voted on the re-election of our elders and various members’ matters. Our elders also presented on our church’s priorities that were reflected in the Budget for 2025 and took questions. We also heard of various updates about our life together as a church.
Reformation Concert 2024: Soli Deo Gloria
On 26 October 2024, over 140 GBC members came together to be a part of the choir, musicians and AV team for the fifth and final Reformation Concert: Soli Deo Gloria, which is Latin for “Glory to God Alone”. Our sanctuary was packed to the brim, as many came to sing of this glorious God, and also to hear of who He is.
Art Fellowship Outreach
From April to September, this Art Fellowship Outreach took place on Thursday afternoons. Two 8-week series were conducted, and Yuh Jane, who organised and participated, shares with us about what they did, and how it also encouraged members to love each other, and reach out to non-believers.
Our Charge is Love
Anna, who is also known to many of us as “Mimi”, is one of our trainees and she shares what she has learnt about discipleship through this traineeship. She reflects on 1 Timothy 1, a passage that the trainees studied together.
Parenting for His Glory
Our Children’s Ministry team organised a parenting panel on 6 October 2024 to help encourage and build up the many parents in our midst. Rachael, one of our young parents, attended this session, and shares with us some of her reflections.
Updates about Yanadi
We shared some updates about Yanadi, our Ministry Worker for Christian Education, at our services.
Youth Camp: Relationships and Reflections on Genesis 2
This year, our youths will be learning about relationships at their camp. Joshua shares with us why they picked this theme, as well as how the church can participate and help in this camp.
Sermon Schedule: 2 Thessalonians — Standing Firm
For 4 weeks in November to December, we will be reading the book of 2 Thessalonians together. This letter by Paul encourages the original hearers, and also us, to continue standing firm in the face of opposition.
Elders and Deacons
Our elders have been teaching and reminding us from Scripture that God intends for His people to live together in community as a church, and the way they organise themselves has also been revealed. What does Scripture say about how the church is to be organised, specifically, the leadership of the church?
Learning to Pray from Isaiah
Our Care Groups have also been studying Isaiah and in a recent study, they spent some time looking at how Isaiah 63:7-64:12 records for us Isaiah’s prayer of faith, as the prophet intercedes with God on behalf of the people.
Members' Meeting (10 November 2024)
Our next Members' Meeting will be held on Sunday, 10 November, from 11.15am to 12.30pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Seeking God’s Glory Alone With Johann Sebastian Bach
The great composer, Johann Sebastian Bach, is often celebrated as a prolific composer of the Baroque period. As we prepare for the upcoming Reformation Concert, Elder Caleb shares with us about Bach’s life and faith, and how we too, can be encouraged to live for God’s glory alone.
Reformation Concert 2024
GBC will hold our fifth (and final) Reformation Concert this year! The concert will be held on on 26 October 2024 at 8pm in our Sanctuary.
Family Dedication (September 2024)
Four families participated in our Family Dedication held during our 29 September service.
Pastor Eugene’s Sabbatical
Pastor Eugene will be taking his sabbatical for six months from April to June, and October to December 2024.
Baptisms and Transfers – 15 September 2024
We had the joy of witnessing the baptism of 2 new members on 15 September. Members of GBC had voted to receive them at the Members’ Meeting on 8 September, together with 7 others who joined us by transfer.
