At our recent Quarterly Congregational Meeting (QCM) held on 2 July 2023, our pastors and elders shared some updates pertaining to staffing matters.

We held our third Quarterly Congregational Meeting (QCM) of 2023 on 2 July 2023. The Fellowship Hall was full as members, and even some visitors, stayed to hear of updates in the life of the church, and to participate in prayer.

Pastor Eugene encourages us to intentionally care for those among us who face mental health struggles.

For the rest of 2023, we will be in the book of Hebrews, in a series titled, "Jesus is Better".

Every quarter (except during the pandemic), GBC sends a team to Kathy's Home in Pua in northern Thailand to conduct an English camp for the Hmong and Mien children staying at the home. This is the 18th year that we have been partnering Kathy's Home in the Lord's work and we thank God for such a great privilege!

At our recent church camp, we held a workshop called "In Our Golden Years". The time spent at the workshop was far too short, and we do desire to continue doing spiritual good to one another even after Church Camp. Thus, we are introducing two new initiatives in the month of July:

Pastor Thian Chye shares the ways that our church camp encouraged him personally, and exhorts us to continue to persevere in doing spiritual good to one another.

On 18 June 2023, we welcomed nine members at our service. Six members joined us by baptism, and the three joined us by transfer.

Various members wrote the daily devotional for our recent church camp. This meditation on Romans 10:13-15 and Isaiah 52:7 was written by Jonathan Yao. 

At our recent church camp, we talked about how we could do spiritual good to one another. As members of one body, there are both formal and informal ways that we can work together to meet each others' needs.

At our recent Church Camp, Pastor Mark walked us through how we can do one-to-one Bible reading. He introduced this tool taken from the book "One to one Bible reading" by David Helm.

To remember God’s faithfulness to GBC over the past 64 years, we will be having a combined thanksgiving service for both the English and Chinese-language congregations. This will be held on 12 August 2023, from 5pm at the Sanctuary. 

Yanadi prays that we will start seeing sharing of lives as gospel opportunities and actively pursue them.

The Precept class has just completed their study on the book of Zechariah. Veronica Lee and Jan Lai introduce and reflect on the study.

Carrie recently turned 60 and reflects on God's grace for her all this while, while being assured of His continued faithfulness for the days ahead. 

Various members wrote the daily devotional for our recent church camp. This devotional on Genesis 1:26-27 was written by Matthew Seah.
