Recommended Books from Training Day
At our recent Training Day, we had 5 different tracks covering various topics in the life of a Christian. If you would like to read up more about these topics, here are some recommendations! Some books are also available at our book table, whilst stocks last.
Women’s Ministry Open House 2026
We held our Women’s Ministry Open House on 26 April 2026. The goal of this Open House was for the church — men and women alike — to learn more about ministry that has been going on among the women of GBC.
The Hard Stuff
In Ephesians, we have been learning about how God has brought us together in Christ. Cecilia Kang shares how she experienced the love of the church and learnt to see how God has designed for the church to be a family.
Mothers, God Sees and Knows
Fiona Teong has been reading the book Treasuring Christ When Your hands Are Full with the Mums Connect group. She shares a short encouragement and lessons she has learnt from reading this together with the ladies.

At our 12 April 2026 service, we acknowledged the service of our elders and deacon who are stepping off after their terms of service.

Welcoming All in the Name of Jesus
The work of welcoming at GBC is not done by the Welcome Ministry alone but is a church-wide effort involving various teams as well as the congregation as a whole, i.e. you and me. We share what it looks like and how we can all play a part!
Family Dedication (March 2026)
Three families participated in our Family Dedication held during our 29 March 2026 service.

Pastor Ryan Curia encourages us to attend an upcoming conference in May focusing on Charles Spurgeon’s ministry as a faithful pastor.
Baptisms and Transfers – 15 March 2026
We baptised 2 new members at our 15 March service. Members of GBC had voted to receive them at the Members’ Meeting on 8 March.

Recap of Members' Meeting (8 March 2026)
We held our Members’ Meeting of the year on 8 March 2026. At this meeting, we welcomed new members, heard of updates about some of our members and learnt about other updates in our church life.

Christ Makes Us One
We have a group of Filipina domestic helpers who worship with us every Sunday and we give thanks for members such as Pat Chan who reaches out to them knowing that it can be daunting for them to connect with the wider church community. Here, we share more about the Filipina Fellowship that she has been serving with since 1986!
Our First Training Day (31 Jan 2026)
We ended January with our first Training Day of 2026. Over 200 adults and children gathered on a Saturday morning to learn and be equipped together.
Meditations on Motherhood
Our Mums Connect group has been reading “Treasuring Christ when your hands are full”. Audrey Lim has been part of this group, and she reflects on how she has been helped by this book in her own journey in motherhood.
Our Role in Building the Church
As we study the book of Ephesians, we are challenged to actively participate in the building up of the church. But how? A useful resource in this endeavour could be compiled through our earlier sermons in the book of Haggai.
