In this men's seminar, two pastors from Agape Baptist Church, Pastor Too Teh Hsin and Pastor Wong Guoliang, will shed light on the topic of sexual purity for men. Having ministered to many through their church's men's ministry, they bring a wealth of experience in practically journeying with men—young and old—toward sexual purity. 

Lois Yong shares how this book has been useful to apply the gospel to a particular lesson and situation that parents and children will encounter — the sin of lying. She shares how it does not just talk about the pitfalls of lying, but also models how the gospel can be applied to this situation and obeyed.

The Preacher in Ecclesiastes 12 had a word for those who were younger, that they ought to remember and respond to the Creator in the days of their youth. We also reached out to some older saints in our church to hear from them what they would like to tell younger men and women.

The English and Chinese Congregation of GBC held a Combined Anniversary Service on 10 August to commemorate 66 years of God’s faithfulness. Members from both congregations came together to serve and worship together. 

In Ecclesiastes, the Preacher recognises the limits of knowledge and how that too, is vanity. Daniel Chen reflects on this theme, and helps us to see how we can think about our own pursuit of knowledge today.

Julie Hamilton encourages us with how God has been enabling her to look to Jesus and count it all joy amidst a trying season for her family, and shares three practical ways on how we can also do so as we face trials of various kinds.

The plants around us remind us that God created the world and is still in control. Emily Seck shares how the sunflower and starfruit influenced her artwork, and how these plants can be visual reminders to turn to Jesus, who is the light of the world.

As we commemorate 66 years since GBC was established, let us learn more about the life of Lora Clement. Lora was one of the missionaries whose ministry eventually borne fruit and led to the founding of GBC.

At our 13 July Members’ Meeting, the elders introduced 3 men who are joining the elders as Elder Associates. Over the next nine to ten months as Elder Associates, they will learn about what it means to shepherd and be an elder.

We held our Members’ Meeting on 13 July 2025. At this meeting, we welcomed new members, heard of updates about our members and learnt about other updates in our church life.

We baptised and welcomed two new members at our 20 July service. Members of GBC had voted to receive them at the Members’ Meeting on 13 July.

Veronica Lee considers the way the world thinks about finances and compares and contrasts it with the way Scriptures speaks about money. She encourages us to place our trust in the God who provides all things, even the money that we seek to earn and save.
